Dots Montessori at HSR Layout trains kids on Respecting personal & work zones. Best way to teach & learn early in their childhood.
As you watch the video, you will notice an exercise that the child is made to do; the activity is called Rolling Mat.
teaching kids the greater science of well-being through rolling mats
The child is made to spread the mat, defining the zone for them to operate in. Materials are made available on the space of the mat and the child gets to work; using just the area the mat covers. And then Roll the mat and clear the work-space. What does it teach them?
Surprisingly everything that they need to know about individual spaces. Here’s an image for your quick reference.
Best Montessori way to teaching kids to respect personal zones.
In the picture above; the OK space is beyond the spread mat area. The NOT OK space is when the kid tries to get inside the mat area.
Now the lessons;
1. Respect other’s work area OR personal zone.
2. Avoid getting into other’s personal or work zone until called for.
3. Cleaning up the work stations after completion of work.
Brilliant isn’t it? This ethic of respecting personal & work zones of others; when applied at work, at home, at public places brings-in greater fulfillment in peace.
And I'm sure you would personally may know half-a-dozen of adults around us; who might need this training badly, isn't it? :-)
